# ContactOut - How do I link my account?

## Overview

To connect ContactOut to Nango, you only need:

1. **API Key** – A key that grants Nango permission to interact with ContactOut's API resources and services.

### Prerequisites

* You must have a ContactOut account with API access enabled.

## Step 1: Request API access

1. Book a [demo](https://contactout.com/meeting?utm_source=api_docs) and ask the ContactOut team to enable API access for your workspace. They'll provide you with an **API Key** that you'll need in the next step.

## Step 2: Enter the key in the Connect UI

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with ContactOut.
2. Enter your **API Key** in its designated field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
